Le sigh

I apologize for my blogger break; life is getting super stressful with the upcoming birth of baby #3; a ton of projects to wrap up for the semester, 2 babies and a house. The event that pushed me over the edge was someone near and dear to me hurting them self badly; We almost lost them.
In my head and my heart I'm not ready to talk about it yet; and when I am it's a conversation that won' t be taking place on my blog; but there are some people that read this garbage that I would like to discuss it with because I know excellent advice will be available.

With all that said, life is going pretty well. Trying to get into the swing of things and wrap up the semester while it's November yet so I don't have to worry about it in December when I'm going to be induced at some point. I'm trying to get the ambition to deep clean this pig sty but would appreciate this baby getting out of my lungs and ribs first, lol. Lots to do; not much time to fit it all in!

Courtesy call

Just stopping in; this blog is temporarily on hold until my head is a little less fucked up.

We're all recovering from a family crisis at the moment and hanging in there.

It's not my place to talk about it; and even if it were... I'm not ready to yet.

Wishing you and yours health and happiness. =)

Novemeber, Already?

The last week has been crazy and I haven't been able to think about much or get anything accomplished. Two weeks ago I was diagnosed with pre-eclampisa; this past week I was diagnosed with gestational diabetes (something I've never had before.) After failing 2 tests & passing 2 tests it was determined that I need to prick my finger 8 times a day and check blood sugar levels for the remainder of my pregnancy, I have been prescribed 2 kinds of insulin but luckily have not yet been instructed to start using it. Since my initial glucose tests at the doctors, all of my glucose levels have been completely in normal range, so hopefully it was just a fluke.

If 3 kids wasn't already plenty enough for me, all of the medical stuff arising with this pregnancy definitely seals the deal on no more babies!

Luckily, gestational diabetes tends to go away as soon as you deliver your baby (and placenta) because the placenta is the culprit behind insulin resistance in pregnancy.

I knew we needed to start getting serious about health when the littlest new girl arrives, I just didn't realize it would kick in before she was even here.

I've been consumed with the girls, homework, house, work, poking my fingers 8 times a day, and following the carb choice diet as closely as possible (so far that alone seems to be managing my sugar levels just fine... hallejuah!)

Friendly tip of the day: When poking your fingers 8 times a day, DO NOT use hand sanitizer... it literally was an eye opener!
